Winter throws returns
We have been without a home since Perry Lakes closed five years ago, but we are now able to use WAAS on Saturday mornings from 9.30 to 11.00. Lindsey Glass has again offered to coach us.
This is a training group for all levels of ability, including those with no experience who would like to learn how to throw.
We will train on five of the next six Saturdays. August 24 & 31 and September 14, 21 & 28. Normal WAAS entry conditions apply.
Oceania Throws Pentathlon Challenge
Oceania Throws Pentathlon Challenge will be held during September 2013. Any thrower who is interested in competing should check out the information on the NZ Masters Athletics Website http://nzmasters.org.nz/throws_pentathlon/throws_pent.html and then contact Val Millard email@example.com. If there is sufficient interest, a local organiser will need to be appointed, so a thrower needs to be prepared to take on this job.
At the Burswood run on Sunday, a set of keys went missing from the key box. Could all who were at the run please check that they didn’t mistakenly pick up the wrong keys. Please contact Val Millard, Club Secretary, firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any information.
