VenuesWest have now confirmed that the stadium will be closed from 6th January to 5th February for re-surfacing. The stadium will also be closed for the Christmas period 24th December to 5th January.
As far as we are aware six MAWA members competed in this year’s events.
Congratulations to Sandra Stockman, (3:10:48), and Bob Lane, (3:09:17), who won their age-group categories. Also to Hamish McLeod our webmaster, finishing his first ever marathon in 3:59:53. Wayne Taylor was our other marathoner, running 3:45:50.
Ross Keane, Karen Peace and Gail James completed the half marathon in times of 1:44:15, 1:45:08 and 1:46:47 respectively.
Plans for the re-surfacing of the WAAS track are firming up, although they could still change.
WAAS will be closed from early January through to around 7th February. Hence there will be no MAWA Tuesday meetings at WAAS during that period. Two Patron’s Trophy Tuesdays are affected, and members will need to do these events at ECAC.
AWA have re-scheduled their events during this period. MAWA State Championship dates, (15th March pentathlons, 29th/30th March main weekend), are unaffected.
We will advise if there is any change to this plan.
The Interim Club Tops are now on the website on the T & F Results page. As usual, there is insufficient data from the winter season to include walks, steeples, hurdles or field events, but these will be included in the final end-of-year data.
