At a glittering dinner in Adelaide last night MAWA members were recognised for their contribution to Masters Athletics in Australia and for their superlative performances.
Barbara Blurton was thanked by AMA President John Clark for her work as Registrar and International Entries Coordinator.
Richard Blurton was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame Administrator category for his work as AMA and MAWA Presidents and particularly for heading the LOC in the highly successful Perth 2016 WMA Championships.
Melissa Foster is Athlete of the Year in the jumps category with particular recognition of her Long Jump World Record.
Jo Peters is Athlete of the Year in the throws category following his string of M70 Australian Records. Jo was our flag-bearer at the opening ceremony.
