Winter Track and Field Revised Programme

Note that the beginners’ throws coaching this Thursday is hammer/weight (weather permitting).
Racecourse run – 1st August
This run will start at 7:30 for all runners and walkers in order to avoid what would be a nasty clash with the half marathon event starting at the marathon club.
After this run we will have the postponed presentation breakfast starting around 8:45.
Come and enjoy the delicious food prepared by Elaine and Melissa. Medals and trophies will be presented for the Club Half Marathon, all RRC/RWC events and the Racecourse walk handicap.
AMA 20km Walk Championship
Just need to make one point clear. Unlikely you would want to do this, but it is an option to go to Adelaide and compete in the event. If you were to do this, it would not be necessary to also enter the WA State Championship.
AMA 20km Walk Championship
As with last year a postal option is available.
The WA qualifying event is the 20km Walk State Championships on 15th August at Perry Lakes.
To enter the AMA Champs you will need to both enter the State Championship on line, ($15), and fill in this form to enter the AMA Championships.
Note that close of entries for the AMA Championships is 1st August.
State Cross Country Championships
Don’t miss the opportunity to take part in the inaugural all-ages State Cross Country Championships at Kings Park on 25th July. Masters run in normal age groupings with 70+ runners doing 6km and under 70’s 8km. Medals will be presented.
Entry is just $15 and MAWA members do not have to be registered with Athletics West
