Last night the committee agreed the following arrangement:
ECAC. Full winter track programme 6th April and then late April through September. No throws. No jumps competition but equipment is available if members want to come and practice.
WAAS. For the period leading up to the Nationals in Darwin, (ie 4th April and then late April and all of May), full programme with track, throws and jumps.
From June to September there will be no programme at WAAS. This is based on our experience in recent years, (apart from 2016), where only a handful of athletes were turning up, not justifying the time and effort of those who run the event.
We are conscious that throwers will not have the opportunity to do Weight Throw ahead of Darwin. The circle at ECAC is probably too dark after around 6pm, but the ground is open by 5:30pm so throwers could come and practice then.
