Sue Coate’s winning title is the highest ever by a woman and only 3 less than David Carr’s highest for this Patron’s format. Sue is a remarkable multis athlete having set world records in the decathlon earlier this year.
Last year’s winner Jenn Parker battled through niggling injuries to take second place while the ever consistent Tammi Doyle took 3rd.
In the men’s competition Campbell Till was a clear winner to take his 4th Patron’s Trophy, the first being back in 2009. Mark Matcham was 2nd, while remarkably Dave Wilkie and Malachi Mackay had the same score to the hundredth to share 3rd.
Trophies will be presented at the State Championships while all finishers receive a certificate.
