2022 Handicap Trophy

We are nearing the half way point of the 2022 Handicap Trophy, three events completed, and with only five events left, it still isn’t too late to participate.
To be eligible to win this coveted trophy, members need to complete at least five handicap events, and what a coincidence that we still have five events left.
The best finishing position of each member over five of the eight handicap events is then totalled and the member with the best aggregate finishing position is deemed the trophy winner.
With three events already completed, we have a tussle at the top of the leader board with Rohan Thompson (#1781) and David Adams (#1226) both with three impressive runs, while followed closely by Kim Thomas (#798) and Clare Wardle (#1255)
The rest of us are massed in a pack, just behind the leader board, ready to make our move, true, some of our moves may be backwards, but ready to make a move we are….

If you haven’t competed in a handicap run this season and plan to participate in the trophy, the first of the last five runs is the 10km Track Handicap event on Tuesday 12th April at Cannington ECAC commencing at 6.30pm.
Numbers are usually a bit ‘light’ when we run these track nights, but it is an ideal time to try something different, running at night on a track, and also with less competitors, it is an ideal opportunity to improve your trophy placing.
See you all there
